Aftercare

Once your tattoo has been completed, your artist will wrap your tattoo in cling film and secure this with micropore tape. Please do not remove this until you get home.

Gently, remove the cling film and tape from your tattooed area.

Carefully wash the area with lukewarm water and a fragrance free soap.

Then, pat the area dry with clean paper towels. Do not use any bath towels or tea towels as these harbour bacteria and can be harmful to a fresh tattoo.

Your artist will advise you to use Palmers Cocoa Butter for your tattoo aftercare. Start to moisturise the tattooed area the day after you’ve been tattooed.

With clean hands, use a small pea-sized amount to moisturise the tattooed area (3-4 times a day).

Clean off any old moisturiser before applying some more.
